Phoenix Mayor breaks nose vs. WNBA team

Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton was left with a broken nose after taking a shot from Phoenix Mercury 6'4" forward/center Nakia Sanford on Monday. Stanton, who is a big-time hoops fan was practicing with the Mercury after submitting a video to the team's website explaining why he wanted to play with them.

I'm sure he regrets that decision now, but he did a pretty good job playing it off. The democrat hit Twitter to explain the mishap and posted a vide of it after attending to his nose. "Went up 4 rebound against @PhoenixMercury's Nakia Sanford, came down w/ broken nose & I still had a great time," tweeted Stanton. He also thanked the team's training staff for taking care of him.

Bottom line is: This guy is a disgrace to himself and his gender. Take away his man card immediately.
