Nerlens Noel Won't Be Ready Until Christmas

Potential 2013 number one overall draft pick Nerlens Noel was interviewed by NBA TV's Scott Howard-Cooper in regards to his injury timetable at the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. Noel told Cooper that he will not be recovered from his left knee ACL surgery in time for the start of the 2013-14 NBA season. Noel stated that he expects to be ready to play by Christmas. During the interview Noel stated that he has moved to Birmingham, Alabama to be with his physical therapist. This has Michael Jordan and Charlotte Bobcats draft bust written all over it!

Check out the brand new Nike LeBron X sneakers that the 2012-2013 NBA MVP busted out for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semi-finals against the Bulls on Monday night in Miami.

The mismatched kicks are being dubbed the "What the MVPs" because their wild appearance leaves people asking, "What the ___?" This model was made especially to celebrate LeBron winning this year's MVP award.

LeBron wore the kicks to receive his fourth MVP trophy before the game and started the game in them, but switched to a white/red/black colorway of the shoes for the second half. The switch didn't help King James out too much though, because the Bulls finished the game on a 10-0 run to top Miami, 93-86. LeBron finished with 24 points on 8-of-17 shooting.

Boston Globe Writer Explains MVP Vote

Boston Globe writer Gary Washburn was a guest on ESPN's SportsCenter Monday, where he explained the reasoning behind being the sole writer not to vote for LeBron James of the Miami Heat for league MVP. Washburn, who in this esteemed amateur bloggers opinion made the correct choice by voting for New York Knickerbockers forward Carmelo Anthony.

Washburn defended his vote by stating that Carmelo "was the most valuable player to his team. If this is a best player in the league award, LeBron wins this every year." Washburn was very serious in defending his vote. He stated that he "had no idea that the other 120 voters voted for LeBron James. When I placed my vote, I didn't poll the other voters. I thought Kevin Durant would get votes, I thought Kobe Bryant would get votes, I thought Chris Paul would get some votes.

Washburn continued by stating that it was "stunning" and that he was "flabbergasted" when he was made aware the voting totals.

Washburn finished the interview by stating that he "stands by his vote" and that we would not change it if given the opportunity.

LeBron Bloodies Nate Robinson's Lip

During the second quarter of Game 1 of the Chicago Bulls - Miami Heat Eastern Conference Semi-Finals, LeBron James landed on the head of Nate Robinson when both players went diving on the court for a loose ball. Nate came out with a bloody lip. The Bulls defeated the Heat 93-86, and Robinson torched the Heat with 27 points and 9 assists.

Steph Curry confronts sh!t-talking fan

Astute eyes were quick to notice Steph Curry get into it with a Nuggets fan as he exited the court after Denver's 107-100 Game 5 win over Golden State on Tuesday night. As It's Always Sunny in Detroit pointed out, Curry can be seen getting into the fan's face and exchanging words with him before TNT cameras cut away.

The kid probably shit his pants when Curry turned back around to confront him. Sure it's easy to act like a tough guy in the stands when you expect the players to just keep it movin' to the locker room. But you gotta remember that these players are men with pride and have tempers just like anyone else.

Curry and Co. will get another chance to send Denver packing on Thursday.
