J.R. Smith Ejected for Flagrant 2 Foul

New York Knicks guard J.R. Smith was ejected from Monday nights Knicks - Warriors game when he committed a flagrant 2 fould on Warriors rookie Harrison Barnes.  Obviously J.R. must of had a Bay area party to get to and needed to hit the showers early.

Carmelo Anthony Has Syracuse Jersey Retired

Syracuse retired Carmelo Anthony's #15 jersey on Saturday during halftime of its game against Georgetown in the Carrier Dome.  Melo led Syracuse to the 2003 national championship when the Cuse upset favored Kansas 81-78.  Anthony led Syracuse in scoring and rebounding, averaging 22.2 points and 10 rebounds and was named the Final Four's most outstanding player during his one and only season playing for the Orangemen.  A sellout crowd of 35,012, which was the largest crowd to ever see a college basketball game in an on-campus arena stood on it's feet and gave a thunderous ovation when Anthony's #15 was lifted to the rafters.

Melo did not bring good luck to the current team as No. 11 Georgetown ended No. 8 Syracuse's 38-game home winning streak with a 57-46 win.

Amare Stoudemire Gets Standing O In Return

New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire returned to action Tuesday night, playing in a game for the first time this NBA season.  The Madison Square Garden crowd greeted Amare with a thunderous standing ovation. Stoudemire played 17 minutes, he finished with 6 points on 3-8 shooting, 1 rebound, and the Knicks were -9 with Amare on the court in their 105-100 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers.  Amare missed the Knicks first 30 games with a knee injury that he suffered in the pre-season.  The Knicks, who are in first place in the Atlantic division went 21-9 this season without Stoudemire.

6' 0" Aaron Brooks Rejects 6' 8" Chris Copeland

Little man Aaron Brooks of the Sacramento Kings who is listed at 6' 0" rejected 6' 8" Knicks forward Chris Copeland on Friday night.  The rejection led a Jimmer Fredette three-pointer.
