New Dolphins logo for 2013 leaked?

Over the summer, Dolphins owner Stephen Ross and CEO Mike Dee said they were in talks with the NFL about updating the team's logo and uniforms for the 2013 season. Now a photo of a new logo that some believe will adorn Miami's helmets next season has gone viral.
According to DolfansNYC, the grainy photo above is a sketch of a logo that could be extremely close to the what the finished product will look like.
“I think it’s important to pay a lot of homage to tradition and heritage,” Ross told the Palm Beach Post back in June while addressing the next logo.
Dee said the new look wouldn't be a complete overhaul.
"We're not talking about changing colors or taking the sun off the helmet," Dee said. "It's not going to be like when Tampa Bay changed from orange to pewter gray. It's definitely keeping one eye on what's traditional in the logo intact, while keeping one eye on a 21st century version of that."
Will the logo above be that look? Only time will tell.

It's about time the dolphin was updated. The next step is to lose the red ring, symbolic of dolphins held in captivity that jump through hoops.

Correct. Leave the logo alone. Focus on the team. The only thing the Dolphins have going for them right now is their history and tradition. So don't screw that up too!
It's not a ring or a hoop that is behind the dolphin. It is the sun.

The Dolphins should go back to their ORIGINAL logo with the Dolphin head in the middle of the sun!! Go back to the colors and tradition of the winning teams!!
Are you kidding! Mr. Ross, some of us have been around alot longer than you. The Dolphins, not you, have the best colors and uniforms in the NFL. Making changes!!! How about changing some of those in the front office and on the field. Stay with the tradition. If you do change, go back to the 1974-1989 logo.

The 74 dolphin and proper colors(sans the stupid helmet) whilst using the shape of the current sun, would be great. This dolphin is a bit too mush like the stadium logo.
I hear the other side of the helmet has been translated into Spanish. Give me a break... DON'T change anything. Let some traditions hold.
Well I have read that when you can't improve your playing on the field you change uniforms or logo ect. This is just smoke and mirrors forks. Miami will still be a loser next year only with a different logo. I feel for the fans that pay good money to see this train wreck of a team.

I thought it was the sun not a ring of fire, being that Florida is the "Sunshine State." Also, it's orange not red. I like the currrent logo too, but cmon. It not that bad.
If you want something really tame, that represents a tame demeanor for the fins this is your logo .

The current logo should be left the way it is. Spend the money that was going to be wasted on new helmets, etc. and spend it on players. The Dolphins logo is classy, let us keep it that way!!
