Pole Vaulter Lazaro Borges Snaps Pole
Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 7:47PM

Cuban pole vaulter Lazaro Borges was attempting to clear a height of 5.35 meters at the Olympics when his pole broke into three pieces, sending him crashing into the ground.
The 2011 World Championships silver medalist was unharmed from the fall, but when he returned to compete he did not qualify for the event finals.
I wonder if there was some sabotage involved, crazier things have happened.
