Angels outfielder Torri Hunter hit Twitter on Sunday to say how proud he was of his son, Torii Jr., who just committed to Notre Dame to play both football and baseball.
Hunter Jr. is a 6-foot, 172-pounds four-star receiver and ranks No. 35 at the position according to Rivals.com. He played his high school ball in Prosper, Texas. He also had scholarship offers from Arkansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, among others.
He'll also be showing off his athleticism on the diamond for the Irish and fans in South Bend can expect him to be prowling the outfield come 2013.
It'll be interesting to see who turns out to be a better college wide receiver, Hunter Jr. or Ken Griffey Jr.'s son Trey, who is a freshman at Arizona.
Torii Jr. isn't the only football star in the family though. His brothers Darius and Money, yes his name is Money, are big-time recruits currently playing for Prosper. Darius is a wide receiver, while Money is pretty money at the outside linebacker position.
