When Phillies outfielder John Mayberry Jr. fouled a ball over the Tigers' dugout during the third inning on Friday night in Detroit, reigning American League MVP Miguel Cabrera decided to have a little fun and toss his glove in hopes of knocking down the ball. However, his glove ended up in the first row of Comerica Park stands in the hands of an attractive young blonde female named Courtney Wood.
Cabrera, who didn't play in his fourth-straight game while recovering from an injured left hip, pleaded for his glove back, and Courtney abided. The 2012 Triple Crown winner then tossed her a ball for being a good sport.
Looks like both parties got a kick out of the incident and Courtney came away with a pretty cool souvenir. The Tigers won the game, 2-1, and Cabrera is expected to be back from injury in the next few days.
Literally just stole Cabreras mitt and exchanged it for a ball 😂— Courtney Wood (@Courtney_Wood_) July 26, 2013
